Arts charity PEER has named ELLEN GREIG as its next Director.

She will begin her new role in March, succeeding previous Director INGRID SWENSON, who stepped down at the end of last year.

Currently Senior Curator at London’s Chisenhale Gallery, Greig is an Artist Advisor for the 59th International Art Exhibition of this year’s Venice Biennale and a Trustee of Westcliff-on-Sea’s The Old Waterworks.

She says she will work closely with the board, artists and local communities that form PEER’s programme.

“At a time when many are questioning the ways in which art is produced, and who it is for, I look forward to continuing to build PEER’s legacy as a dynamic and generous neighbourhood space for art and culture."
