PAUL MILLER, Orange Tree Theatre's Artistic Director, has announced he will step down in the coming year.

The theatre has produced over 70 shows during Miller’s eight year tenure, reaching an average annual audience of 70,000.

OT transformed its business model after its National Portfolio Organisation funding was withdrawn on Miller's first day in post in 2014.

It achieved its first significant surplus in 2019/20 and launched streaming platform OT On Screen in 2020.

Miller says now is the right time for someone new to lead the organisation, which won UK Theatre’s Most Welcoming Theatre award for three consecutive years to 2019.

"I couldn’t be prouder of all the work that has been achieved in my time, with so many brilliantly talented colleagues and artists."
