York Museums Trust CEO REYAHN KING will leave for a new role at the National Trust for Scotland in the summer.

As CEO since 2015, King has seen York Museums Trust through "one of the toughest periods of [our] history".

The trust says she has ushered in a new focus on audiences and communities, strengthened its fundraising activity and drawn in more revenue from commercial activities. King also oversaw the opening of two new galleries and has championed diverse artists in local museums' public programmes.

"The richness of experience she has had in York will, I am sure, be put to very effective use with the National Trust for Scotland," Chair JAMES GRIERSON said.
