A project to transform the former Littlewoods building into a film and television studio is at a standstill and its developers, Capital and Centric, say it "hangs in the balance". Progress halted after an arson attack on the property last year and is unlikely to resume at the start of 2020. The complex, if completed, is expected to include two 20,000 square foot sound stages and create up to 4000 jobs.
