Call for successful artists to ‘plug gaps’ in arts funding
Andrew Lloyd Webber has highlighted the importance of cultural philanthropy saying that those “lucky enough” to have made a career in the arts should at the “very, very least” give something back, especially to young people in the sector. He said that his Foundation “considers an awful lot of areas where the arts council has had to cut” funding.
