Boris Johnson has appointed RENE OLIVIERI to chair the fund until July while a competition for a permanent replacement is under way. The Chair of the RSPCA, Olivieri is a former Chief Executive of Blackwell Publishing and has previously chaired the Wildlife Trusts, Tubney Chairtable Trust. Until December, he was also a Trustee of the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Internationally-experienced curator MELANIE POCOCK has joined the Birmingham institution, leaving her position as Assistant Curator at the Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore, which she had held since 2014. Prior to that, Pocock worked in curatorial roles at Modern Art Oxford and Art Scene China. She has an MA in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art in London.
