Lighthouse

Lighthouse, Poole is looking for an experienced artistic programmer with a broad knowledge of performing arts who can work closely with the CEO to lead the organisation’s extensive and varied programme with energy, skill, commercial acumen, and creativity.

The role is crucial for ensuring that our venues offer a distinctive, broad, high-quality programme of approximately 350 productions and 1,000 performances of live performance, film, and visual art per year. The programme includes received and copromoted commercial productions, partnerships with nationally funded companies, community events, and a small % of own promotions. We produce our annual pantomime in house. We are an Arts Council NPO and are supported by BCP council.

We aim to present a broad and rich mix of national, local, and international performing artists in our 1400 seat symphonic concert hall, 669 seat proscenium arch theatre, studio theatre, independent cinema and visual arts gallery.

Furthermore, Lighthouse has a growing creative engagement emphasis, delivering learning and participation activity through Lighthouse Academy, as well as facilitating successful artist development and outreach strands of work that complement the artistic programme.

You will be an experienced senior arts programmer, with a great track record of delivering a dynamic and substantive artistic programme of commercial and subsidised theatre, music, and dance.

This opportunity is offered as a full-time, permanent role, based at Lighthouse. Some flexible working may be considered, however regular working from Lighthouse is required.
