Your passion for the arts and innovative approach will inspire and empower our students to explore their talents and unleash their creative potential.

The Grammar School at Leeds is a 3-18 coeducational school on the outskirts of Leeds. It has a powerful and vibrant legacy of enriching the lives of young people through the creative and performing arts. Our purpose-built, state-of-the-art Performing Arts Centre is due for completion during the first half of the 2024-25 academic year and will be a dedicated hub for music, drama and performance of all kinds and for all ages. We believe this space will inspire a passion for the arts in the next generation of GSAL students and prepare them for their futures - whatever they might hold.

Currently the school produces up to four productions a year across Senior and Primary school, along with 10 – 15 music and choral performances and concerts, and a plethora of other creative activities that include debating, House music, nativity plays, Courtyard Shakespeare, the staff pantomime and a variety of music concerts.

A 350-seat auditorium with flexible seating is at the heart of our plans, complete with oak-panelled stage and walls and optimised acoustics. The auditorium will also feature the latest audio technology and LED lighting, giving backstage teams the experience of operating professional-standard equipment.

We are seeking a candidate with considerable experience in live theatre or the arts, who is confident with the technical aspects of live performances to lead theatre management throughout the school. If you believe this is a role in which you could excel, please click the apply button.
