Nick Williams, outgoing Chief Executive Perth Theatre and Concert Hall.

Perth Theatre and Concert Hall Chief Executive NICK WILLIAMS is stepping down in July.

Since joining the Scottish organisation in 2019, Williams has overseen a major organisational development process, including a rebrand and new approach to programming.

Before his current role, Williams was Executive Director of London-based The Coronet Theatre, and a Consultant, Strategist and Producer of Nick Williams productions. Prior to this, he held positions at Arts Council England, including Senior Theatre Officer until 2010, and Arts Ignite Project Manager (Danish Embassy London) until 2014.

Chair COLIN HOOD said Williams has made a “hugely positive impact” on Perth Theatre and Concert Hall.

“He has guided the organisation through one of the most challenging periods in its history, from serious financial difficulties and instability, through the uncharted waters of the pandemic to its successful and pioneering reopening.

“The focused and talented team that he has developed will carry on his good work and he will always be welcome through our doors.”

Williams, who leaves to take up a new role in London, added: “I’ve loved my time in Perth. The job has not been without its challenges, but I’ve been lucky to have an incredibly talented and dedicated team around me.

“The time has come to move on, but I’m pleased to be leaving the organisation on a positive note, in a much better place and with a bright future ahead.”

Recruitment for a new Chief Executive has begun.
