ANNA MOUTREY and SEAN PRITCHARD will join the Royal Exchange Theatre under a restructured senior leadership team after the producing theatre recently dropped its artistic director model

Moutrey has been named Director of Producing, while Pritchard will assume the role of Director of Production.

A creative producer with 15 years of experience delivering events, Moutrey is currently Executive Producer at Factory International.

She has previously worked with Manchester International Festival, Frantic Assembly and Great Big Events, where she produced sports presentation programmes for large-scale multisport events.

Pritchard joins from his role as Technical Director & Head of Production at HOME in Manchester. Before this, he was Senior Production Manager for Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse Theatres.

Royal Exchange Theatre said the pair will play a "key role" on its senior leadership team as the organisation prepares to appoint a Creative Director.

Royal Exchange's Chief Executive STEVE FREEMAN said: "Anna and Sean are creative thinkers who push the boundaries of theatre-making; with them in the post, I’m confident that the Exchange will thrive as Greater Manchester’s leading, full-time producing theatre.

"They will bring their expertise and care to our theatre-making, ensuring that we are at the forefront of theatre craft and a place where the most exciting artists want to work. We cannot wait for them to join us in 2024."

Moutrey added that joining alongside the Creative Director and Director of Production presented "a rare opportunity for us all".

Pritchard and Moutrey will take up their respective roles in early 2024.
