Nonclassical has named MIRANDA JOHNSON Executive Director (Maternity Cover).

During her tenure, Johnson will be responsible for devising and delivering a work programme across the events, label and artist development programmes.

Johnson takes up post following the completion of her Clore Fellowship and after eight years with Britten Pears Arts.

At Britten Pears Arts, she was Director of Business and Strategic Planning and the former Director of Development.

Johnson is a professionally trained musician and brings experience in generating income across charitable and commercial contexts.

"I am excited to have the opportunity to support the important work Nonclassical are doing and the exceptional artists at its core," Johnson said.

"I look forward to championing those pushing creative boundaries while encouraging ever-growing audiences to experience innovative new music.”

Johnson's predecessor, NATALIA FRANKLIN PIECE, added: “After four and a half years running Nonclassical, I am delighted to hand the baton over to Miranda while I step away for a year’s maternity leave."
