Theatre Témoin, a physical theatre company based in the South East, has appointed ABBIE WILLCOX to be its new Executive Director and CEO.
She assumes the role from AILIN CONANT who will join New Earth Theatre as Artistic Director later this month (January).
Willcox has co-led Témoin with Conant for the past 18 months.
A freelance creative producer and artist, Willcox first joined the theatre in 2019 to lead Témoin’s strategic development after more than a decade of management experience at venues including The Lowry and Contact.
Willcox said: “It is an honour to be appointed Executive Director of Theatre Témoin and to lead the company into its next phase.
"Working closely with Ailin over the last 5 years has been a joy and I deeply admire all of the incredible work she has achieved with, and for, Témoin since founding the company."
Conant said, “I deeply value [Willcox's] strength of leadership and clarity of vision.
"As difficult as it is to step away, the people at the heart of Témoin have made that decision much easier for me, by holding the company and its mission so gracefully."
