MARK KASS has announced his resignation as the CEO and Trustee of Jazz Centre UK after three years in the role.

“After attempting to put in mechanisms for the charity to grow its local volunteer and audience base, I feel I can no longer take the Jazz Centre UK on the journey I envisaged for it,” he said.

He added that he planned to remain an active ambassador for jazz at a grassroots and community level and to “help showcase the culture, diversity and heritage of jazz through education, information, performance and commercial support”.

He will continue to run London East Jazz Network, remain a Jazz Promotion Network board member and retain his role at the Enterprise4Good Group.

“I have had an incredible, valuable and thoroughly rewarding time working alongside some fantastic characters with some phenomenal skills and deep-rooted passion for jazz at The Jazz Centre UK,” he said.
