SIMON ANTROBUS is Royal & Derngate theatre's new Chair.
Appointed by Northampton Theatres Trust, the charity that runs the theatre, Antrobus took up the position at the beginning of the year, having joined the board in November.
He replaces STEVE EDMONDS, who is stepping down after five years as Chair and 11 years on the board.
Antrobus has been Chief Executive of BBC Children for five years and is a former Chief Executive of We Are With You and Clubs For Young People.
He says he is delighted to be playing part of the theatre's future development.
“As part of my close links with the county I have long admired and enjoyed the excellent work of Royal & Derngate.
“This amazing organisation has an important part to play in inspiring, engaging and entertaining individuals and communities across Northamptonshire and beyond.”
