Professor Hasan Bakhshi, director of the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre (Creative PEC), has been pushing the creative industries research and policy agenda for almost 20 years.

In 2024, he joined the government’s Creative Industries Taskforce to help shape a new sector plan to drive growth.

Hasan was awarded an MBE in the 2015 New Year’s Honours for services to the creative industries.
