Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre appoints ‘highly skilled’ trustees
Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has announced the appointment of three new trustees and one returning member to its board, starting in January 2026.
Director of audiences at Southbank Centre, HEATHER CLARK CHARRINGTON, leads the marketing, brand and design and communications teams, prior to which she was director of marketing and communications for English National Ballet.
Her previous posts include director of marketing for the National Theatre and brand manager for Wildlife Photographer of the Year at London’s Natural History Museum.
ROBERT GLICK OBE, vice president and head of international public affairs at American Express, currently serves as chair of the Barbican Centre Trust and the Adult Literacy Trust and is vice-president of Save the Children UK.
As permanent secretary for Culture, Media and Sport from 2001 to 2006, Dame SUE STREET led the UK’s winning bid for the London 2012 Olympics.
Street has been a senior board member of organisations ranging from HMRC and the Ministry of Justice to the Royal Opera House and BUPA, and currently chairs Ballet Rambert.
Actor TYRONE HUNTLEY, who first appeared on the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre stage in 2014, will also be returning to the board.
Chair of the theatre’s board STUART GRIFFITHS OBE said he was looking forward to the new trustees “supporting our next chapter of growth”.
“We’ve been truly inspired by the incredibly high standard of applications received (140 in total) from our public recruitment campaign for new trustees,” he said.
“Following a thorough selection process, we are delighted to welcome three exceptional, highly skilled and dedicated individuals to the board of Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.”
Executive director JAMES PIGEON and artistic director DREW MCONIE said it was “an incredibly exciting time to be joining the organisation”.
