New members appointed to Arts Council of Wales
The Arts Council of Wales has announced eight new members to its voluntary governing council.
The new members are senior lecturer in performance at Bangor University, FFION HAF EVANS; entrepreneur, NAN WILLIAMS; director of producing at Theatr Clwyd, WESLEY BENNETT-PEARCE; head of operations at learning exchange programme, Tait Dr ELID MORRIS; co-director of contemporary art organisation, Addo SARAH PACE; cultural strategist and policy expert, JOSHUA ROBERTSON; dance artist, choreographer, producer and educator, EMILY BAMKOLE and senior leadership coach and consultant, AMANDA MORGAN THOMAS.
Members are appointed by the Welsh Government’s deputy minister for culture, sport and tourism.
They are responsible for setting the organisation’s aims and objectives, ensuring that these are aligned to the Welsh Government’s own strategic priorities.
JACK SARGEANT, the minister for culture, skills and social partnership, said: “I am pleased to announce the appointment of eight new members to the Arts Council of Wales.
“The recruitment process was rigorous and each new appointee will bring their own individual skills, knowledge and expertise.”
MAGGIE RUSSELL, chair of ACW, added: “ACW is delighted to welcome eight new members of council at this exciting time for the arts in Wales.
“We celebrate the range of diverse talents and the wealth of experience that they will bring to ACW and look forward to our journey together.”
