LESLEY EXLEY is to join the board of Fashion Museum Bath Foundation, with the new recruit calling the museum itself a “cultural treasure with a global reputation”.

Exley, currently a senior adviser at the Inzito Partnership, a boutique executive search firm, has worked in retail, luxury brands, the digital sector, and the arts.

Her career has involved trustee roles at organisations including L’Oréal, and she is also a founder of Exley Hervey Executive Search, which works to recruit senior leaders across the retail, luxury, property, and cultural sectors.

Exley has existing ties to Bath as a director of the Holburne Museum, the city’s first public art gallery. She joins the Fashion Museum as it prepares to move into the transformed Old Post Office in the city centre.

The redesigned venue is expected to open to the public in 2030.

“I am honoured to join the Fashion Museum Bath Foundation as trustee,” Exley said.

“The Fashion Museum is a cultural treasure with a global reputation, and I look forward to helping shape its future — ensuring it continues to inspire, educate, and engage audiences for generations to come.”

Councillor Paul Roper added: “The Fashion Museum’s transformation represents an exciting new chapter for Bath’s cultural landscape.

“Lesley’s appointment brings exceptional expertise at a time when we are shaping a museum that will not only celebrate fashion history but also create an inclusive, sustainable space for future generations. Her insight will help ensure this ambitious vision becomes a reality.”
