Olympias Music Foundation has named PAULETTE BAYLEY, HELEN PALMER, MARIAN SUDBURY and WILL ALLEN as new trustees.

A professional violinist and music educator, Bayley collaborates with a range of organisations, including the National Youth Orchestra, Orchestras for All, and Black Lives in Music, while performing with orchestras such as the Hallé and BBC Philharmonic.

Palmer has held senior roles in theatre, festivals, and cultural communications, and currently serves as chair of Manchester’s håb live art agency.

Taking up the role of vice chair is Sudbury, who is currently the chair of trustees at The Bridgewater Hall and sits on the Alliance Manchester Business School’s advisory board. Meanwhile, Allen is a chartered accountant who has previously acted as Olympias’ independent examiner.

The charity, which aims to make music accessible to children across Greater Manchester, said of the new appointees: “Their knowledge, creativity, and shared commitment to equity and inclusion will strengthen our ability to grow sustainably, advocate meaningfully, and continue reaching the children who need us most.”
