PATRICK HOLLAND is leaving his role as Director of Factual, Arts and Classical Music at the BBC to become Executive Chair of entertainment company Banjay.

Holland, formerly channel controller of BBC 2, took up his current post following a restructure of the broadcaster's arts offer in April. The BBC says it is doubling its investment in arts programming on the channel, though original content is in decline.

Before joining the BBC, Holland was Managing Director of subscription service Boundless and Director of Factual at Ricochet.
