Art Fund leader one of three to join theatre company board
The director of Art Fund has joined the board of theatre company Fuel.
JENNY WALDMAN CBE, who heads up a charity connecting UK audiences, museums, and art, is one of three new trustees to join existing board members including Theatre Green Book director LILLI GEISSENDORFER.
Her fellow new trustees are RAKIE AYOLA, a stage and screen actor and producer, and arts marketing consultant SELINA OCEAN, who has worked on projects for the likes of London Borough of Culture, Love Camden and the Javaad Alipoor Company.
They will sit alongside existing trustees including opera singer NADINE BENJAMIN MBE and lawyer and business affairs consultant SEAN EGAN.
Artistic director and chief executive of Fuel, KATE MCGRATH, said she looked forward to welcoming the trustees’ “invaluable support”.
“We’re kicking off the year with some exciting news,” McGrath said. “Following an open recruitment process last year, we’re announcing three new trustees who are joining the board of Fuel: Rakie Ayola, Selina Ocean and Jenny Waldman CBE.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with them. Rakie, Selina and Jenny each bring passion, experience, and expertise to our excellent board of trustees, who offer invaluable support and counsel to me and to the Fuel team. Being a trustee is a big commitment and a gift to our organisation, and we thank each of them for accepting the role.”
