ROS BROOKE-TAYLOR is joining the Almeida Theatre as executive producer after eight years in the same role with Sonia Friedman Productions, overseeing major West End and Broadway productions.

Joining the Islington-based venue in early 2026 alongside incoming artistic director DOMINIC COOKE, she takes over from DENISE WOOD, who leaves after almost 12 years to pursue freelance projects.

Starting her career at the Almeida as a technical administrator and later a general manager, Brooke-Taylor has worked across the commercial and subsidised sectors with roles at the Old Vic as general manager and the National Theatre as associate producer. She is also a trustee of the Unicorn Theatre and a fellow of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Brooke-Taylor said she was “incredibly excited” to be returning to the venue where she began her producing career.

“It’s a huge privilege to be offered this role and to be joining Dominic Cooke, for whom I have tremendous admiration – he is a visionary director and leader,” she said, adding, “I’m so grateful to Sonia and the whole team. I will miss them greatly.”

Cooke said he was “thrilled” Brooke-Taylor would be joining him. “She brings a wealth of experience, great insight and sound judgement,” he said. “I look forward to working with her as we shape the next chapter of the Almeida and continue to engage and inspire audiences.”
