It is hoped Stalker will help Engage 'strengthen' its role as a 'national voice for visual arts education'
Former gallery leader to head up visual arts charity
Visual arts charity Engage will welcome HELEN STALKER as its director from next month.
Stalker has previously held roles at heritage charity, Lakeland Arts, and led Leigh’s Turnpike Gallery between 2017 and 2022.
Most recently, she has worked as a project manager at the Bowes Museum in County Durham.
“I am thrilled to join Engage at such a pivotal time,” Stalker said.
“The organisation’s commitment to equity and creativity resonates deeply with my own values, and I look forward to working with members, partners, and stakeholders to shape a vibrant future for visual arts engagement.”
Professor ANITA TAYLOR, chair of Engage’s board, added: “Helen’s vision and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to support practitioners and organisations across the UK and beyond. We are excited to welcome her leadership and energy to the team.”
