Rose Goddard

Director at Cultural Philanthropy Foundation

Rose Goddard is director of the Cultural Philanthropy Foundation, a charity dedicated to promoting the democratisation of culture through research, advocacy, thought leadership and campaigning.

Before joining the Foundation in 2025, Rose was executive director of Wimbledon BookFest and prize manager for the Women’s Prize for Fiction, where she oversaw its transition to charitable status. Earlier in her career, she led the World Book Night and Quick Reads programmes at The Reading Agency, following several years as assistant editor at Penguin Random House for Penguin Classics and Particular Books.

Rose previously served as head of trusts at consultancy Achates, advising clients including Soho Theatre, the National Centre for Writing and Live Music Now on revenue and capital fundraising campaigns. She is also co-founder of the Climate Fiction Prize, a new literary award celebrating contemporary fiction that engages with the climate crisis.
