Visiting Research Fellow

John has over 20 years of experience in managing arts and cultural services in the not for profit sector. His extensive management experience provides him with strong skills in leadership, finance and change management. He has an outstanding track record in developing strategic partnerships and project proposals that form the basis of successful fundraising bids to support important work in the cultural sector, achieving over £3m in fundraising in recent years.

His experience over four years as a Research Associate with Audience Development South East and as Chief Executive of Smart Audiences provides him with strong skills in the design and delivery of both quantitative and qualitative research in the arts sector.

In his capacity as Visiting Research Fellow with Staffordshire University, John was a member of the project team that carried out the AHRC-funded Cultural Value research project and supports the university in the development of strategic partnerships. His qualifications include a BA (Hons) in English Language & Literature, a Diploma in Management Studies and a Distinction in the Kingston MBA.

John currently provides consultancy services to arts and cultural organisations with a particular focus on fundraising, project design and delivery.
