BBC boss Tony Hall, who will ultimately decide if a Panorama investigation into charities’ pay and investments can be broadcast, was paid £392,361 in his final year as Chief Executive of the Royal Opera House, according to the charity's accounts. This was similar to his 2010 pay, which an ROH spokesperson told The Telegraph was justified in line with international comparisons.
