Cultural Festival to celebrate Tour

Yorkshire will host a cultural festival in the run up to Le Grand Depart of the Tour de France in the county in 2014. Plans for the festival are in their early stages, but Arts Council England will explore different ways of funding the festival with public and private sector partners, with organisations and artists able to apply for funding for Tour related arts events through the Grants for the arts programme. This summer East Street Arts will also host Bike Fest, a series of city-wide arts events inspired by cycling and pedal-power, featuring artists from across the UK.
