Touring theatre company imitating the dog has appointed arts administrator and freelance producer JULIE BROWN as its first Executive Director, as it joins Arts Council England’s national portfolio for the first time.

She will work with the company’s first board of trustees, led by consultant and former Executive Director of Oldham Coliseum DAVID DOLAN MARTIN as Chair, and Executive Director of Burnley Youth Theatre LEROY PHILBROOK as Vice Chair.

They will work alongside Co-Artistic Directors PETE BROOKS, ANDREW QUICK and SIMON WAINWRIGHT, who have been making work together for over ten years.

Other trustees comprise producer and project manager KATE BEARD; Events & Cultural Services Manager for Preston City Council TIM JOEL; Associate Professor in Scenography and Deputy Head of School at University of Leeds JOSLIN MCKINNEY; Editor of ArtsProfessional FRANCES RICHENS; and artist SUMIT SARKAR.
