The Spark Arts for Children has named CHRISTOPHER GORRY as its new Artistic Director.
He join the charity in July, succeeding ADEL AL-SALLOUM, who left last year to work with UNBOXED 2022.
Gorry is currently Artistic Director and CEO of Warts and All Theatre, which he founded in 2016. During his tenure, he has developed school partnerships, implemented a coaching, consultancy and training programme and introduced a Pay-On-Your-Terms membership model.
He says he has admired The Spark Arts for Children for a long time and is excited to be joining Leicester’s rich cultural ecology.
“I look forward to working with the team to continue the fantastic work already being done and finding opportunities for us to co-create dynamic art with the artists, audiences, participants and communities it is intending to serve.”
