Director KENNETH OLUMUYIWA THARP (pictured) and Head of Development JESS MORTLOCK have lost their jobs at the Africa Centre following a restructure of the management hierarchy. Their roles have been made redundant to reduce costs “in order to preserve long-term financial stability and safeguard its important legacy”, though the charity is committed to completing its ongoing capital development project, which will see the Centre’s new headquarters open in the London borough of Southwark in 2021.
