JAMES SEABRIGHT has been named The League of Independent Producer’s new chair.

He succeeds EDWARD SNAPE, who led the 13-strong board for six years.

Seabright is an Olivier Award-winning commercial theatrical producer and general manager based in the West End of London. He also chairs the King’s Head Theatre and is an associate artist of Wilton’s Music Hall.

Seabright thanked Snape for his leadership through Covid, during which membership to the industry body grew.

“I look forward to building on this strong foundation in the years ahead, and to working collaboratively with industry colleagues to ensure that we can better serve audiences as well as the incredible onstage and offstage talent of UK theatre.”
