RADA has announced that MARCUS RYDER will become the organisation’s new Chair at the end of next month, taking over from SIR STEPHEN WALEY-COHEN who has held the post since 2007.

Ryder is Head of External Consultancies at the Sir Lenny Henry Centre for Media Diversity set up to increase diversity across the media. Also a Trustee at the Press Pad Charitable Foundation, he spent eight years as a senior executive at the BBC and has previously chaired the Royal Television Society Diversity Committee.

Among his first jobs will be overseeing recruitment of a replacement for RADA Director EDWARD KEMP, who is leaving this academic year.
