New NEDs for Scottish Music Industry Association

The Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA) has announced the appointment of five new non-executive directors (NEDs).

Development producer at Channel 4’s 4Studio ALLY MCCRAE; artistic director and chief executive of the National Theatre of Scotland JACKIE WYLIE; chief information officer at PPL MARK DOUGLAS; director of business and legal affairs at Virgin Music Group SHARON RILEY; and director of Patterns Seem to Form TOM GALLACHER will be joining the music membership organisation’s company board.

Board co-chair ANNELIESE HARMON said: “We’re proud to welcome such dynamic and well-rounded members to our SMIA board. Their wealth of expertise and unwavering commitment to advancing Scottish music will be instrumental in shaping our next chapter.”

SMIA CEO and creative director ROBERT KILPATRICK said he was “really proud” to welcome the new appointments, adding “they join at a hugely important time not just for the organisation, but for Scotland’s music industry as a whole”.
