Non-executive directors join Royal Philharmonic Orchestra
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) has appointed LINDSAY DODSWORTH and JOHN RUSSO as non-executive directors.
Dodsworth is currently a non-executive director of the Franklin Global Trust and Elveden Farms Ltd, chair of governors at St. John’s College School in Cambridge and a trustee of Goodenough College.
Graduate of a music degree from Cambridge University, Dodsworth is also a clarinettist who enjoys playing Javanese Gamelan music.
Russo is a senior executive and advisor currently acting as CEO of prominent contemporary art business Maddox Gallery. He also has experience working across both public service, via his role as a family magistrate, and private enterprises.
The pair join 11 other board members at the orchestra, comprised of both elected members and non-executive directors.
Board chair ANDREW STOREY says Dodsworth and Russo bring “best-in-class expertise, together with a genuine passion for orchestral music and a belief in the difference it can make to enrich society”.
He added that the pair will help the organisation work towards its 80th anniversary celebrations, set to take place next year.
