SIMON RUSSELL and CLAIRE JEFFERS have been appointed to the museum's Board of Trustees.

Lord Russell of Liverpool spent 25 years as a partner at leadership consulting firm Spencer Stuart. He sits on the EU Internal Market subcommittee and is the cross-bench representative to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. He is also a Governor of Coram, a children's charity.

Jeffers is an Executive Director in the Consumer and Investment Management division of Goldman Sachs, where she has worked since 2006. Prior to that, she worked for Conde Nast in New York and was a Chaird of the Junior Committee of InMotion, a non-profit firm that helps women access pro-bono legal services.

Their combined expertise in both the public and private sectors will be "a huge asset to the museum in the years to come," Board Chair Larissa Joy said.
