Music educator NORTON YORK will be the new Chair of music accessibility organisation Sound Connections.

York wrote the world's first commercial music degree at University of Westminster, where he was later the Chair of Music Film and Fashion. He has developed graduate recruitment schemes with EMI, Universal and Sony and co-led Somerset House's programme for the 2012 Cultural Olympiad.

Norton replaces CHRIS BRANNICK, who is stepping aside to focus on other work and charitable commitments.
