New CEO at Publishing Scotland

SHEILA PINDER is the new CEO of Publishing Scotland.

She will join the Edinburgh-based organisation in mid-August, taking over from outgoing CEO MARION SINCLAIR, who has spent 17 years in post.

Pinder has worked across the publishing sector, holding previous senior roles at IPG and NBN International, as well as consulting with a diverse portfolio of publishing organisations.

Board chair Kate Gibb commented that Pinder was a standout choice during the recruitment process, with a strong interest in AI and the environment.

“She joins Publishing Scotland at a time of rising need and opportunity, bringing proven people leadership and deep expertise in publishing, distribution, and business delivery,” Gibb said.

“I am honoured to have been entrusted with this opportunity to lead Publishing Scotland, advocating for both publishing members and network members as we navigate this era of challenge to the industry together,” Pinder added.
