Museum of the Home reappoints three board members
ALAIN ‘FUSION’ CLAPHAM, Viscount CHARLES COLVILLE and Professor CAROLINE MALONE have all been reappointed as board members of the Museum of the Home for a second term.
Clapham is the director of cultural platforms BMTstories and SuperOrganic, programmes that showcase the cultural heritage of Black men and women and hip hop culture.
An award-winning communicator and strategic thinker, Clapham has worked with organisations including YouTube, Historic Royal Palaces and DCMS.
Colville is a former television producer and has been a crossbench member of the House of Lords since 2011.
During his career as a journalist, Colville worked for BBC’s Newsnight programme and in the House of Lords has spoken on matters including the media and digital issues. He is also a member of the cross-party Communications and Digital Select Committee.
Malone is a former curator for English heritage at the Alexander Keiller Museum, previous editor of the Antiquity Journal and also served as keeper at the British Museum in the former Department of Prehistoric and Romano British Antiques.
An author of a number of books and papers, Malone is currently a visiting professor at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge, and an emeritus professor at Queen’s University Belfast.
The trio’s current three-year term at the East London museum began on 4 November last year, running until November 2027.
Last month, ALEX ELY was announced as the new chair of the Museum of the Home.
