Executive Director of Morecambe's More Music, KATHRYN MACDONALD, will step down after 27 years with the organisation.
MacDonald was More Music’s first employee and was appointed Executive Director in 2020. During her time with the music and education charity, she initiated the Catch the Wind Kite Festival, which she continued to produce for two decades.
More Music said MacDonald has been an "integral part" of the organisation and is now moving on to "new and different projects and ventures".
MacDonald commented: “More Music has my heart, and the team, the participants and the wider community are my family, so leaving will be a huge wrench.
"I’m proud to have led such a passionate and creative team and feel incredibly lucky to have been part of so many people’s lives and connected to so many projects.”
Recruitment for a new Director will begin this month (January 2024).
