Touring theatre company Headlong has appointed KATHY BOURNE Chair.

Bourne took over from DONNA MUNDAY in June, who stepped down following 13 years on the board and just over three years as Chair.

With over 30 years’ experience in theatre, Bourne is currently Executive Director at Chichester Festival Theatre (CFT), sharing leadership with Artistic Director JUSTIN AUDIBERT

Previously, Bourne was Associate and Festival Producer at CFT before becoming Executive Producer at Jonathan Church Productions in 2015, where she produced shows internationally, on tour, and on the West End. In 2019, Bourne returned to CFT to assume her current position.

Prior to Chichester, she was Producer at Spymonkey, where she is now a trustee.

“It has been a privilege to have chaired Headlong, and it's very hard to walk away from such an exceptional company that has been a big part of my life for so long," Munday said.

Bourne added: “I’ve always viewed Headlong as one of the leading and most dynamic UK touring companies, and Chichester Festival Theatre’s relationship with them has delivered some outstanding productions over the years.

“Headlong’s aspirations and plans for the future promise a new and exciting era for the company.

“I’m honoured to be joining the Board as we look ahead with optimism and energy.”
