The International Centre for Contemporary Music (ICCM) has announced MARK FRIEND as its new Executive Director.
A former Controller of Digital Services for BBC Radio and Music, Friend played a key role in the broadcaster's digital transformation, leading development of a 10-year global strategy that included the launch of BBC Music, iPlayer Radio and the digital Proms.
In this new role, he will work closely with ICCM Music Director ZVONIMIR HAČKO on formulating strategy, fundraising, and developing relationships across the music industry.
"I look forward to working closely with creative talent and groups in the UK and around the world to increase the range and appeal of contemporary music," Friend said.
"Working together, I believe we can bring a new dynamic for audiences and new opportunities for artists and composers."
