(L-R) Dermot Daly and Mark Hollander

DERMONT DALY and MARK HOLLANDER have been appointed as Freedom Studios' Interim Directors.

They replace co-Artistic Directors ALEX CHISHOLM and AISHA KHAN, who are stepping down this summer after seven years.

Daly will work as the theatre company's Associate Artistic Director and Hollander has accepted a new role as Interim Executive Director until recruitement for a new Artistic Director is completed this summer.

Daly, an actor, director, producer and filmmaker who previously served as an Associate Artist of Freedom Studios, said that the company “lives its values”.

Working with the whole team, he hopes to “hold true to this and keep the company at the forefront of the cultural scene in Bradford and beyond, ready to move into the future with confidence”, he said.

Hollander, whose most recent appointments include Executive Director for Phoenix Dance Theatre and Executive Director for Leeds Culture Trust, said his relationship with Freedom Studios “goes back many years”.

“I am excited to be a small part of its future”, he added.

“Mark and Dermot bring expertise and enthusiasm and we look forward to working with them as we collectively lead the company into the next chapter,” said ANJ HANDA, Chair of the Board of Trustees.
