Federation of British Artists welcomes former English Heritage region director as CEO
The Federation of British Artists (FBA) has announced the appointment of TOM KING as its new CEO at Mall Galleries.
Until March this year, King was director for the South of England at English Heritage, where he oversaw the management of 36 historic sites.
Before joining English Heritage, King held senior roles at major London cultural institutions such as the Royal Albert Hall and the Roundhouse.
The FBA, a visual arts charity established in 1961 to aid, promote and encourage the study and practice of visual arts, is based at Mall Galleries in London.
Its component art societies include the Royal Society of British Artists, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.
Chair of the FBA JANE ELLISON said she was “delighted” to welcome King as the new CEO.
“Tom’s leadership and experience will help us strengthen our role as a home for visual arts in the UK, ensuring we continue to provide opportunities for artists, while engaging new audiences with the joy of discovering their work,” she added.
