Contact names new CEO
Manchester arts centre and theatre Contact has appointed JACK DALE-DOWD as its new CEO.
Dale-Dowd joined the organisation full time in 2019 as head of production. Most recently, he was the organisation’s interim CEO. He took up the post in 2023 following the introduction of a new leadership and business model after former artistic director and CEO KEISHA THOMPSON switched roles to director of events and reduced her hours as part of efforts to tackle rising costs.
Previously, Dale-Dowd held various production roles for organisations including Reckless Sleepers and Box of Tricks Theatre.
Dale-Dowd said, “The work that Contact does to champion young people, artists and communities is vital to the local and national ecosystem.
“I’m thrilled to continue leading Contact and excited to start work planning for the organisation’s long-term future with all our staff, board, young people, partners, and communities.”
The board of trustees said: “Contact has always been a place of transformation for young people and artists, and we are incredibly excited to see how Jack’s leadership will guide us into the next era.
“As we look ahead, we are committed to putting young people at the heart of everything we do and amplifying the voices of our communities.”
