(L-R): Romana Ramzan and Anwen Griffiths

DCMS Minister NADINE DORRIES has appointed two new BFI governors.

Games industry pioneer ROMANA RAMZAN is the new BFI Scotland Governor and lawyer ANWEN GRIFFITHS is the new BFI Wales Governor. The pair began their four year terms earlier this week.

BFI Chair TIM RICHARDS says he is delighted with the pair’s appointment.

"They will both lend their extensive expertise and experience at a crucial moment for the organisation, as we shape our new strategy for publication this autumn."

Dorries also reappointed ROBIN SAUNDERS, ANDREW SMITH and PHIL STOKES to the board of BFI Governors, each to serve a further four years.

Richards says the trio played a pivotal role in shepherding the BFI through the pandemic: "I am delighted that the BFI will be able to draw upon their experience for a further four years."
