The Barbican has announced two new Board Members and four appointments to the Barbican Centre Trust.

Producer, composer, DJ and co-founder of hip-hop dance company Boy Blue, MICHAEL ‘MIKEY J’ ASANTE, is joining the Barbican’s Board, alongside theatre producer and former Executive Director at London’s Young Vic theatre DESPINA TSATSAS.

Founding partner of independent artist management consultancy Southern & Partners STEPHANIE CAMU and arts philanthropist CAS DONALD are joining the Barbican Centre Trust, the charitable and fundraising arm of the Barbican which raises funds for its arts and learning programme.

Camu and Donald will be joined by former Master and CEO of London’s Charterhouse ANN KENRICK and Senior Adviser at Rothschild & Co in London’s Global Advisory Division SIAN WESTERMAN as trustees.

All six appointees will start their terms in September.

“They all bring something completely unique to the Barbican and their expertise and commitment will be instrumental as we continue to deliver an exciting programme of art, learning and community projects, as well as embark on the biggest upgrade of our building in the Barbican’s history,” Barbican CEO CLAIRE SPENCER said.
