ADJOA ANDOH will join Oxford University as a temporary professor in the coming academic year.

She will be the University's 29th Cameron Mackintosh Visiting Professor of Contemporary Theatre, a title attached to St Catherine's College, inaugurated by recently deceased composer STEPHEN SONDHEIM in 1990.

Andoh is currently filming the second series of Bridgerton. She plays Lady Danbury, a role she was nominated NAACP Outstanding Supporting Actress in a TV Drama for. She has also appeared in Eastenders, Dr Who and Casualty and starred in films Invictus, Fractured, and I is A Long Memoried Woman.

Andoh is an RSC Associate Artist, Bush Theatre Senior Associate, guest director at Rose Bruford Drama School, and guest director and audition panellist at RADA.

She said she hoped to help students "who wish to make their contributions to the work and the art of storytelling".
