Creative Partnerships was designed and funded as a pilot programme, initially from April 2002 through to March 2004, with a budget of £40m. Funding from both DCMS and DfES has now been secured to take the programme forward until 2008.

- Since it began, Creative Partnerships has launched 2,516 projects
- 381 schools have been involved
- 1,991 creative organisations have been active
- 170,611 pupils have taken part in projects.

These activities included:
- 500 visits to arts/cultural centres
- 5,775,773 hours of student engagement
- 229 of the projects involved more than 200 participants.

The impact on teachers?
- 12, 194 teachers have been involved in projects
- 7,704 hours of professional development
- 675 projects which developed new approaches to teaching and learning
- 282 projects resulting in increased job satisfaction for teachers.
