The Cornerhouse has made significant steps to reduce its environmental footprint.

Cornerhouse is Manchester’s international centre for contemporary visual arts and independent film and was opened in 1985 housing three floors of galleries, three cinema screens, a bar, café and bookshop. Patrons such Danny Boyle, Damien Hirst and Helen Mirren are among the organisation’s supporters and Cornerhouse welcome over 500,000 visitors each year.

Cornerhouse is a recipient of a Silver Environmental Business Pledge award and has a sustainability action plan in place. Despite a 4% increase in visitor numbers, the venue stabilised their emissions in 2011-12 compared to 2010-11. Read more on Julie's Bicycle's website.
