1. http://www.emusic.com

This website is my staple diet for downloading classical music. You can find most pieces of classical music on this site and then spend the rest of the day listening to them.

2. http://www.bbc.co.uk

The BBC website is my constant companion. I use it to catch up on particular programmes like Jazz on 3, Late Junction and The Archers. I read the news and check the weather on it, but I am still trying to work out how to get it to make me a cup of coffee! Its also a great site for children. The game Jam Buster on the CBBC website is addictive.

3. http://www.sawdays.co.uk

For anyone who travels a lot, as I do, this website is a must. It is the gourmet guide to bed and breakfast accommodation. I have stayed in some fantastic, reasonably priced places through this site and now I never want to go to a bog standard hotel ever again. The farmhouse near Uttoxeter with four-poster beds and a wood-panelled breakfast room complete with log fire for £34 per night including a huge breakfast was a particular favourite.

4. http://www.ticketing.org.uk

Ticketing is an issue for a number of festivals at the moment. Some dont run their own box offices, some run manual systems, some want to sell online but dont know how, and some dont have access to their own data. This site gives an excellent overview of the issues and gives details of the major suppliers as well as suggestions for further reading. Its a good site for people who want to get to grips with the subject of ticketing but dont know where to start.

5. http://www.artsfestivals.co.uk

This is the website of the British Arts Festivals Association. I spend a lot of time on this site looking to see which festivals are coming up and what is happening within the sector. The website was re-designed last year and is now much clearer and simpler to use. You can find out further information on the autumn conference, 1113 October, from here.
